At work, you get a verbal warning to something your boss thinks you did wrong,not for you, to do again.If you doing it again.You can get a written warning slip. If you get three of the same written warnings slips disciplinary action can happen.You have to follow this line of protocol . If you do not follow protocol a judge will throw out the case. Next, if you get three individual right ups on different subjects,each right up counts as one each.There is a statue of limitations on each write up,usually3 months.Then the company has to take it off your record.Do not sign the front of the warning slip. Write your side of the story on back of warning slip or on separate sheet of paper.When you go in front of the judge,he sees two sides of story.He has to make a judgement. Anyone can win or loose,when a judge makes a decision.Warning slips,Emails are legal documents so every line,dates,signature,time, spelled words,explaination in a sentence has to be right on the situation or the warning slip or Email is know good.I am not attorney nor shop steward. I am going on experience.The experience comes belonging to a Union. The Union I had belong to was U.F.C.W. United Food and Commercial Union,770. The President is Ricardo Icaza.They teached us about labor law,reading the contract and when they went to court,how the cases.turned out good or bad and how we can protect ourselves in the workplace against the management.Everybody has to stick together and stick up for one another. If you have a Union rep. or a shop steward who will not stand up for you,get rid of him or her. In Union situation,your dues is paying for him or her to represent you,get another one. So do not be afraid of standing up for your rights in the workplace or in court.
